del Regno di Serbia e Montenegro, fu introdotto il servizio militare obbligatorio. I soldati di leva provenienti dal Kosovo si muovevano in modo diverso da quelli di altre origini regionali. I superiori si rassegnarono all&#8217;ovvia necessit\u00e0 di istituire corsi speciali dove ai soldati kosovari veniva insegnato a camminare al ritmo binario dei tamburi come gli altri soldati. In Kosovo, il senso del ritmo si \u00e8 sviluppato in un modo unico: le strutture ritmiche si basano sulla giustapposizione di durate non proporzionali.<\/p><p>Questo produce forme ritmiche tra le pi\u00f9 complesse e sofisticate al mondo. Queste tradizioni sono il prodotto di un&#8217;interpretazione della musica locale da parte di musicisti specializzati della comunit\u00e0 Rom. Cos\u00ec, una minoranza emarginata \u00e8 diventata indispensabile per la sopravvivenza della cultura di altri gruppi etnici: albanesi, turchi, serbi, gorani. Al centro di questa tradizione, nel Kosovo occidentale, sono le suite di danze cantate e suonate con il tamburello durante le parti dei riti riservati esclusivamente alle Il rapporto tra tamburello, rituali femminili, travestitismo e omosessualit\u00e0 \u00e8 attestato dall&#8217;antichit\u00e0 ai giorni nostri in un&#8217;area geografica molto ampia, che va dall&#8217;India al bacino del Mediterraneo. Il culto di Cibele, dea nera, era officiato da donne o uomini travestiti o evirati che suonavano il tamburello. Gli emarginati tra gli emarginati sono quindi gli eredi e gli interpreti di un&#8217;antica tradizione, rimodellata in modo del tutto particolare. I testi cantati sono articolati su melodie che rimangono invariate durante lo spettacolo. Le formule ritmiche che costituiscono la base di questo repertorio sono chiamate kajda dai musicisti. Questa parola roman\u00ed non appartiene a nessuna delle lingue parlate nei Balcani. Come gli antenati dei musicisti rom, viene dal nord dell&#8217;India.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><em>Kajda<\/em> racconta la storia di questa tradizione musicale e dei suoi protagonisti nel Kosovo di oggi.<\/p><p>Le riprese di <em>Kajda<\/em> sono iniziate in Kosovo, nella regione di Prizren, nel 2008, e sono proseguite fino all&#8217;autunno 2011 grazie a un finanziamento dell&#8217;Universit\u00e0 di Bologna.
